WMGR

930 AM WMGR went on the air in 1946 from Bainbridge, Georgia.  They currently carry a Contemporary Christian format that is simulcast on a translator at 99.3 FM.  The call letters originally stood for (W) Marvin Griffin Radio.  Griffin was the original owner of the station and became the governor of Georgia in the 1950s.  Former sister station WMGR "Magic 97 FM" was an Adult Contemporary station from 1994 to 2001.
