NCAA Men's Basketball Championship

It's the Jayhawks vs the Wildcats as Kansas and Kentucky meet in college basketball's championship game tonight in New Orleans. The matchup features the two winningest programs in college basketball history. 91.5 KANU is the flagship station of Kansas Public Radio based at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. They signed on the air in 1952 and later became the first noncommercial FM station to broadcast in stereo. They are also charter members of National Public Radio. Broadcasting from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, WUKY mixes Adult Album Alternative music with programming from NPR. 91.3 FM first went on the air in 1940 (as WBKY) and was the first university-owned station in the United States. They switched their call letters to WUKY in 1989 to better reflect their affiliation with the (W)University of KentuckY.

"Eagle 93.7" was a 70s & 80s Classic Hits station in Boston, Massachusetts from 1994 to 1999. WEGQ was licensed to Lawrence, MA. 93.7 FM currently carries a Sports format as WEEI.

"100.9 The Eagle" KXGL plays Classic Hits in Amarillo, Texas.


"92.9 The Eagle" KTGL is a Classic Rock station licensed to Beatrice, Nebraska.

College Radio Week - KJHK















90.7 FM KJHK is the student-run station at the University of Kansas in Lawrence.  In 1994 the voice of the the Kansas JayHawKs became the world's first radio station to offer a live, continuously streaming internet signal.  They placed 15th on The Princeton Review's list of "Most Popular" college radio stations.
