WBOG

WBOG was an Oldies station licensed to Tomah, Wisconsin from 1997 to 2003.  That little red guy is an anthropomorphised cranberry.  This area of Wisconsin is home to 2,500 acres of cranberry bogs and also explains the origin of WBOG's call letters. 94.5 FM is currently Classic Rock WTMB.

KSUE

1240 AM KSUE was an Oldies station licensed to Susanville, California.  They now carry a News/Talk format.

KMJQ

Houston, Texas's "Majic 102" KMJQ has carried some form of an Urban Contemporary format since 1978.

Radio Sticker of the Day Mailbag - Radio Centro

The mailman delivered this set of Italian radio stickers while I was away on vacation last week.  Thanks Gian Carlo!!

This odd microphone-headed snake sticker from Radio Centro was a highlight of the package.  Notice how the snake's body forms the frequency of the station.  Tunein.com lists Radio Centro as a Top-40/Pop station from Turin, Italy broadcasting at 92.1 FM while the station's official website (still under construction but you can listen live) shows them broadcasting at 97.0 FM playing "Soft FM" music.  Did they used to broadcast in the 95 FM range and moved but kept the number in their branding?

Radio Sticker of the Day Mailbag - WBEN

I recently received another package of stickers from Ricky in Indonesia.  Decals from Australia, Germany, France, England and other countries were included.  Thanks Ricky!!

I was quite happy to get this Buffalo Bisons sticker from 930 AM WBEN in Buffalo, New York.  I'm a fan of the team and have been to a handful of games across the midwest and in Buffalo itself.  GO BISONS!!

KFXR

A 1997 sticker from 107.3 FM KFXR in Chinle, Arizona.

CKGB

CKGB went on the air in 1933 at 1420 AM from Timmins, Ontario.  By 1957 they were at 680 AM and in the mid-1980s landed on 750 AM.  CKGB's Country format lasted from 1990 until 2001 when they converted to 99.3 FM and flipped to Hot Adult Contemporary as "EZ Rock."

CFBX

CFBX "92.5 The X" is an entirely volunteer-run community radio station broadcasting from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia.  They went on the air in April, 2001.

Channel Africa

Channel Africa is the international broadcasting service of the South African Broadcasting Corporation.  They broadcast in six languages over shortwave, satellite and the internet.  Their mandate is to "contribute to the development of Africa, support peace, democracy and good Governance through the production and broadcast of innovative, dynamic and stimulating news, current affairs and informal knowledge building content in English and other major African languages."

China Radio International

Government-owned China Radio International broadcasts in over 60 languages and boasts 30 overseas bureaus.  English language CRI programming can be heard on at least three US stations; WILD in Boston Massachusetts, WUST in Washington DC and WNWR in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.  Other China Radio International stickers can be seen here.

WRAC

WRAC simulcast a Top-40 format in the late 1960s from Racine, Wisconsin.  100.7 FM later became WRKR and is currently Urban Contemporary "V100.7" WKKV.  1460 AM is currently Spanish WJTI "La Nueva Ritmo" licensed to West Allis, WI.

WSSL

WSSL "Whistle 100" plays Country music in the Greenville/Spartanburg area of South Carolina. They are licensed to Gray Court, SC.

WNRQ

WNRQ is a Classic Rock station in Nashville, Tennessee.

WKRZ

"98.5 KRZ" has been a Top-40 station in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania market since 1980.  WKRZ is licensed to Freeland, PA.

I saw a KRZ logo in the background of an episode of The Office (which has been a source of multiple sticker sightings in the past.)

WEKL

"Eagle 102.3" WEKL played Classic Hits in Augusta, Georgia beginning in 1994.  In 2007 they traded frequencies with a sister station and is now "Eagle 105.7" playing Classic Rock.  102.3 FM is currently Top-40 WZNY "Y102.3"

WAEB-AM

AM 790 WAEB (W Allentown Easton Bethlehem) is a News/Talk station licensed to Allentown, Pennsylvania.

KRWK

"Rock 102" KRWK existed in Fargo, North Dakota from 2007 until 2012.  101.9 FM is currently a Talk station.

KKUP

KKUP is a non-commercial, community radio station licensed to Cupertino, California.  They've been on the air since 1972 and carry a Variety format including Classical, Reggae, Oldies, R&B, Jazz, Poetry, Hawaiian, Folk and seemingly everything else.

KDKB

93.3 KDKB is a Rock station in Phoenix, Arizona and has been since 1971.  Other KDKB stickers can be seen here.

CFBV

CFBV "The Peak" is an Adult Hits/Hot AC station located at 870 AM in Smithers, British Columbia.  Their signal is heard on four additional repeaters in the Northern Interior of the province.
