The Radio Network

A magnet and foil anniversary sticker from The Radio Network based in Green River, Wyoming.  TRN consists of five stations:  Soft AC KUGR 1490 AM/104.9 FM, Hot AC KYCS 95.1 FM, Country "92.1 The Freeze" KFRZ, Classic Hits "97.9 The Big Dog" KZWB and Country 104.3 KFZE.

Radio Guaruja

Radio Guaruja broadcasts at 1550 AM from the city of Guaruja in southeastern Brazil.  They first went on the air in 1946 and can now also be heard on FM and shortwave frequencies.

WTSC

91.1 FM WTSC (W Thomas S Clarkson) is a 700-watt, student-run, free form, block-programmed station out of Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York.  They went on the air in 1963 when Clarkson already had two other, now defunct, radio stations--WTSC AM 540 and AM 640 WNTC (W Northern Twin College--a reference to the school's two campuses.)  The Inter College Radio Network was the umbrella group running all three stations and was open to students at Clarkson as well as those from the State University of New York at Potsdam.  At the time, the ICRN was the largest organization on campus boasting a membership of 160 students.

WNZR

 

90.9 FM WNZR broadcasts Contemporary Christian music from Mount Vernon Nazarene College in Mount Vernon, Ohio.  They went on the air in February, 1986.

WKUZ

WKUZ is a Country station licensed to Wabash, Indiana that is currently branded as "95.9 Kiss FM".  They've been on the air since April, 1966.

WGIV

1600 AM WGIV was the first station in Charlotte, North Carolina to target an African-American audience.  They were on the air from 1947 until 2003.  The call letters on the above sticker appear over the Pan-African colors of green, black and red.

WBVN

104.5 FM WBVN carries a Contemporary Christian format in Marion/Carbondale, Illinois.

KXXT

Formerly KIST (among other things) "Xtra Sports 1340" KXXT broadcast to Santa Barbara, California from 1998 until 2000.

WIGM

1490 AM WIGM is a CBS Sports Radio affiliate licensed to Medford, Wisconsin.  The call letters are derived from the original owners (W) Irma and George Meyer.

The Peaks

 "104.1 The Peak" KWPK is a Modern AC station in Bend, Oregon.

 "95.1 The Peak" KRDO was a Hot AC station in Colorado Springs, Colorado circa the late 1990s/early 2000s.

 "105.3 The Peak" WEBK was an Adult Album Alternative station licensed to Killington, Vermont from 2003 until 2008.

"93.3 The Peak" CJAV is an Adult Contemporary station in Port Alberni, British Columbia.

KRDI KDEC

1240 AM KDEC and co-owned 100.5 FM KRDI broadcast from Decorah, Iowa.  Both the AM and FM stations now carry the KDEC call letters with 100.5 carrying an Adult Album Alternative format while 1240 plays Oldies.

KLBU

One of the more unique commercial radio formats that's ever existed, "Blu 102.9" KLBU was a mix of Jazz, World Beat, Chill, Pop, Dance, Trip Hop, House and Ambient music.  They also replayed episodes of BBC Radio 1's "Gilles Peterson Worldwide" hosted by British DJ Gilles Peterson, founder of the Acid Jazz record label.  KLBU existed from 2003 until around 2010 and was licensed to Pecos, New Mexico near Santa Fe.

KENO

AM 1460 KENO is currently airs a Spanish Sports format in Las Vegas, Nevada (yes, their call letters are a reference to the classic numbers game.)  They've been on the air since 1941 and carried a Top-40 format from the 1950s until the early 80s.  Adult Contemporary, Oldies and English-language Sports are some of the other formats that have appeared on the 10,000-watt station over the years.

KATD

95.3 KATD broadcast during the second half of the 1980s in Los Gatos/San Jose, California.

Pulses

"106.9 The Pulse" WPLL was a Contemporary Christian station in Gainesville, Florida from 2012 to 2017.

WZON "620 AM The Pulse" was a progressive Talk station in Bangor, Maine from 2010 until 2018.  They also simulcast on WZON FM 103.1

"97.5 Pulse FM" KNXR was a Hot AC station in Rochester, Minnesota circa 2015.

University Pulse is Boise State's independent, student-run, online radio station. 

WPLR

99.1 WPLR is a Classic Rock station in New Haven, Connecticut.

WRNX

100.9 WRNX was a Rock-leaning Adult Album Alternative station in Springfield, Massachusetts.  They were on the air from at least the early 1990s until 2011 when they flipped to Country as "Kix 100.9"
Television host and political commentator Rachel Maddow got her start in radio at WRNX after winning a contest to become the new sidekick of Dave Brinnel and "The Dave in the Morning Show" back in 1999.

KURQ

107.3 KURQ was an Active Rock station in San Luis Obispo, California up until June 2016 when they flipped to a Regional Mexican format.
