WHO

A t-shirt from "Newsradio 1040" WHO in Des Moines, Iowa.  Their 50,000-watt signal covers most of Iowa during the day and much of the central United States at night.  They've been on the air since April 1924 when stations in Iowa were still assigned call letters beginning with the letter W.  Ronald Reagan worked at WHO as a sportscaster from 1932 until 1937.

KICY AM & FM


KICY AM & FM air a Religious format in Nome, Alaska.  While the FM half concentrates it's signal to the immediate communities around the southern Seward Peninsula, the AM half blasts 50,000 watts and even dedicates 6 hours at night to programming in Russian for the neighboring Siberian regions of Kamchatka and Chukotka.  According to their website, they are the only commercial radio station in the United States licensed by the FCC to broadcast into another country in their language.  отличный!
