KNIV

104.7 FM KNIV "Mi Preferida" is a Regional Mexican station licensed to Lyman, Wyoming near Salt Lake City, Utah.  Their signal gets boosted via multiple 104.7 transmitters located in Salt Lake's suburbs including Bountiful, Provo and Ogden.
 

KFAT

The Wikipedia entry for what is now KLOO in Corvallis, Oregon says that 106.1 FM KFAT was on the air from 1983 to 1997.  But was this Oregon KFAT related at all to the original, legendary 94.5 KFAT from Gilroy, California?  The years seem to line up since the one in Gilroy flipped to CHR as KWSS in '83, the same year the one in Oregon went on the air.  Both were Country stations but not just any Country--free form progressive country mixed with Blues, Bluegrass, Rock and what would now be called Americana.  If anyone has any more info about the possible connection between these two fatties, leave a comment.
 

KBAE

KBAE "95.5 The Bay" was a Hot Adult Contemporary station licensed to Trinidad, California.
 

CFRW

CFRW was on the air in Winnipeg, Manitoba from 1969 until 2023.  They originally broadcast at 1470 AM before moving down the dial to 1290 AM in 1977.  They were a Top-40 station at the time and continued playing contemporary music until 1987 when they flipped to Soft Rock.  A call sign change to CIFX lasted until 2002 when they went back to CFRW.  Multiple format changes over the years included Talk, Adult Standards, Sports (twice), Oldies, Soft AC and Comedy.  CFRW ceased broadcasting on June 14, 2023.

Radio Puisaleine has been broadcasting from Carlepont in northern France since June 1983.

88.7 KIK FM has played Country music since the mid-1990s from studios in Mareeba, Queensland, Australia.

KUAI

AM 570 KUAI plays Classic Country from the island of KaUAI in Hawaii.  They are also heard on translator K283CQ at 104.5 FM.
 

WUNV

Peach State Public Radio formed in the mid-1980s to provide public radio services to much of Georgia,  91.7 FM WUNV went on the air from Albany, GA in the early 1990s as an NPR affiliate and played Classical and Jazz.  They are now under the umbrella organization Georgia Public Broadcasting along with around 30 other radio and television stations.

"Planet 100.1 FM" WPNH is a Rock station in (W) Plymouth, New Hampshire.

WKLR has been a (W) KLassic Rock station in Fort Lee/Richmond, Virginia since the late 1990s.

"92.7 The Planet" WCMI (Where Coal Meets Iron) is an Active Rock station in Huntington, West Virginia/Ashland, Kentucky.

"97.3 The Planet" KZPL was a short-lived Adult Album Alternative station in Kansas City, Missouri from 2003 to 2005.
 

WVBR

Radio on the campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York goes back to the 1930s when the Cornell Radio Guild was formed.  They produced programs for WESG (now WHCU) and later started a low-power, carrier-current AM station WVBR.  The (W) Voice of the Big Red secured a license on the emerging FM band and began broadcasts on 93.5 starting in 1958.  They mostly played Classical music at first but switched to Rock in 1968.  Except for a detour into CHR in the 1980s, this continued for decades before a distinct shift to Alternative Rock took place around 2018.  WVBR is unique in that they are a commercial station owned, operated (with some community help) and managed by Cornell students via the Cornell Media Guild and separate from the university.

 

WMCO

90.7 FM WMCO went on the air from Muskingum College (now Muskingum University) in New Concord, Ohio in January 1961.  The volunteer and student-run station airs non-mainstream music along with live sports and local news.  They are currently branded as "90.7 The Orbit" in homage to John Glenn's 1962 orbit around the earth.  Glenn was born in nearby Cambridge, Ohio and graduated from Muskingum in 1943.
 

WHYN AM & FM

1400 AM WHYN signed on the air in April 1941 with a signal that primarily covered  (W) HolYoke and Northampton, Massachusetts.  They moved to 560 AM in 1949 and added an FM sister station in 1947.  Today both stations are licensed to Springfield, MA with WHYN AM a News/Talk outlet while the FM is Hot Adult Contemporary "Mix 93.1"  The basketball net sticker surely has something to do with the game being invented in Springfield in 1891....perhaps it was a 100th anniversary decal.

WDSY

"Y108" WDSY plays Country music in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  They've carried the same format since the late 1970s when they switched call letters from WEEP and adopted the slogan "We're fresh as a daisy...The all new WDSY FM 108."

WATZ

1450 AM WATZ went on the air in Alpena, Michigan in November 1946.  Sister station WATZ FM signed on in the late 1960s originally at 93.5 FM.  In 1988 they moved to 99.3 FM and flipped from Adult Contemporary to Country.  For several years they simulcast the same programming before the AM broke off to become a News/Talk outlet in the mid-90s.  WATZ AM went off the air permanently in 2014.
 

KTOX AM & FM

KTOX 1340 AM is a Talk station licensed to Needles, California.  They were co-owned with KTOX 98.1 FM located about five hours away in Wofford Heights, CA near Bakersfield.  KTOX FM was either an Alternative Rock or Classic Alternative station (or both?) depending on what website you look at.  98.1 FM flipped to playing hits from the 1990s and 2000s with call letters KRWI to match their "Rewind" branding.
 

KPLM

106.1 FM KPLM has been a Country station in (K) PaLM Springs, California since 1994.  They are currently branded as "Big 106"

KLNN

KLNN "Luna 103.7" is an Adult Contemporary station licensed to Questa, New Mexico.  They are also heard on translator K244FD at 96.7 FM in Taos.  KLNN went on the air in 2006.
 

KACE

103.9 FM KACE was on the air in Los Angeles, California from 1976 until 2000.  The station was Black-oriented for its entire history, offering up format variations including R&B, Urban Contemporary, Hip-Hop and Oldies.  KACE was once owned by former Green Bay Packer defensive end Willie Davis.  In 1997 they added KRTO, a simulcast at 98.3 FM to better cover LA's eastern suburbs.

KDUO

Riverside, California's 97.5 FM KDUO was on the air from 1959 until 1992, most of those years as an Easy Listening station.
