KNNN


KNNN "Mix 99.3 FM" was a Top-40 station in Redding, California.
 

KJJR

880 AM KJJR is a News/Talk station in Kalispell, Montana.  They went on the air in 1979 at their original frequency of 1400 AM with a mix of Top-40, Oldies and Classic Country.  Their call letters are an homage to KJR in Seattle.  KJJR is also heard on an FM translator licensed to Whitefish, MT.
 

KCNL





104.9 FM KCNL was on the air in San Jose, California from 1999 to 2012 (except for a brief 10 day period with the call letters KMJO in 2005.)  Many of those years were spent as an Alternative Rock station and also as a Spanish outlet as "Enamorada 104.9" circa the mid 2000s.  In 2012 KCNL was sold to the University of Southern California.  The frequency currently airs Classical music with the call letters KXSC, a simulcast of San Francisco's KDFC.

WMFD

WMFD signed on the air from Wilmington, North Carolina in 1935.  The Sports-formatted station is now also heard on a translator at 101.7 FM.
 

WIBW


580 AM WIBW is a News/Talk/Sports station in Topeka, Kansas.  They are one of the rare stations on the west side of the Mississippi River with call letters that start with the letter W instead of K.  This is because WIBW actually began as a "portable" radio station in Indiana in 1925.  Back in the 1920s the Department of Commerce issued licenses for portable stations to serve cities who did not yet have their own broadcasters.  WIBW was eventually owned by Charles Carrell who owned a handful of these "stations on wheels."

WIBW has been an affiliate of the Kansas City Royals Radio Network since the team began playing in 1969.

WRVG

89.9 WRVG was the (W) Radio Voice of Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky.  Radio at the school dates back to 1958 with the AM station WGTC.  WRVG went on the air in 1963 with a mere 40 watts of power but in 1998 they upgraded to 50,000(!) watts, perhaps one of the biggest signal upgrades in history.  It was short-lived though as the station was sold in 2003 and is now yet another K-LOVE affiliate.  WRVG lives on at 93.7 as a low-power FM station with 100 watts.  According to their Wikipedia page, the student-run outlet plays Top-40 during the day and Oldies at night.
