BRMB
BRMB commenced broadcasting in Birmingham, England on February 19, 1974 at 261 meters medium wave and 94.8 FM. A move to 96.4 FM took place in 1986 and by 1989 they were FM-only. According to their Wikipedia page, the station's name did not stand for Birmingham Radio, Midlands Broadcasting as some believed, but rather BiRMingham Broadcasting. The BRMB name went away in 2012, replaced by the current Free Radio Birmingham branding.
