The origins of what would become
Native Communications Inc. (NCI) began with broadcasts in northern Manitoba in September 1971. The non-profit, public broadcaster currently airs on 59 transmitters covering 98% of the province with programming by and for Indigenous people. The flagship station is 105.5 FM CINC in Winnipeg, MB.
