1000 AM WKDE was on the air in Altavista, Virginia from 1962 to 2018, most, if not all of those years, as a Country station.  The frequency is currently home to Oldies outlet WGVY.  Sister station 105.5 FM WKDE began in 1969 and plays Classic Country.
