Another bounty of radio stickers, magnets and assorted goodies arrived today courtesy of Dan in British Columbia. The best of the bunch is this headphone kitty decal from KSPC.
88.7 KSPC is a non-commercial, block-formatted campus and community station owned by Pomona College in Claremont, California. Last month KSPC celebrated their 56th year on the air.
I don't think Nu'Chilla enjoyed listening to KSPC via the internet as much as I did.

WYNO
If I'm not mistaken, WYNO was a pirate radio station based in Phillipsburg, New Jersey during the second half of the 1970s. I received this sticker from one of the station's DJs (here he is) along with a bunch of other radio promotional stuff in a trade back in 1998. Check out some dynamite WYNO photos and playlists here.

Leap Day

FM 107.7 WIVK is a Country station in Knoxville, Tennessee. They've used a frog mascot since 1976 when a station employee was recording a commercial and realized that the calls letters sounded like a frog's croak..."Wivick Wivick Wivick." WIVK is a consistently top-rated station in the Knoxville market and held (or possibly still holds) a #1 streak that started in 1980 and lasted until at least the summer of 2011.UPDATE: I just read that WIVK was #1 in the fall ratings with a healthy 17.7 share.
