XETRA

"The Mighty 690" was a 50,000-watt, border blaster Top-40 station licensed to Tijuana, Baja California circa the early 1980s.  Even though it was based in Mexico, its huge signal allowed it to cover not only San Diego but all of Los Angeles as well.

1360 AM in Tacoma, Washington carried the KMO call letters from 1922 until 1984.  The station is now KKMO and carries a Regional Mexican format as "El Rey 1360 AM".

CKIA

CKIA is a French-language, community radio station in Quebec City, Quebec.  In 2001 "Radio Basse-Ville" moved from 96.1 FM to 88.3 FM in order to increase its power from 6.8 watts to 350 watts.

"Long Island's Party Station" WPTY "Party 105.3" is a Dance/Rhythmic staion licensed to Calverton-Roanoke, New York.


"92.7 Party" KPTI was a Dance station in San Francisco, California.  They were on the air less than two years from May, 2002 until March, 2004.  92.7 FM is currently Top-40 KREV.  KPTI was licensed to Alameda, CA.

"95.7 The Party" is a Top-40 station licensed to the Denver suburb of Parker, Colorado.  KPTT first went on the air in 2006 and carried a Rhythmic AC format.

WHLT

AM 1300 WHLT went on the air in 1957 and the FM half followed in 1965.  They originally broadcast from the (W) Hotel LaFonTaine in Huntington, Indiana.  By the mid-1970s 103.1 FM had become WHUZ and were eventually bought by the owners of Ft. Wayne's WOWO.  Both frequencies are currently unused in the state of Indiana.  The AM 1300 towers were cut down in an apparent act of vandalism after the station went silent.

AM 1540 WDCD (W Donald CrawforD--the station's owner) is a News/Talk outlet in Albany, New York.  FM 96.7 carries a Christian Talk format and is licensed to Clifton Park, NY.  This WDCD sticker shares a similar logo to WDCX in Buffalo, NY which is also owned by Crawford.

KRZI



1580 KRZI began broadcasting in Waco, Texas in October, 1962.  Around 2001 they moved to the expanded-band frequency of 1660 AM which provided a much better signal.  KRZI is now a Sports outlet and ESPN Radio affiliate as well as the flagship station for Baylor University athletics.

1540 AM KEDA was the first Mexican American-owned station in the U.S. and one of the first ever Tejano stations.  "Jalapeno Radio" went on the air in San Antonio, Texas in 1966 and will celebrate their 50th anniversary in March, 2016.
