WXXR

WXXR "X97.3 FM" plays Alternative Rock in Terre Haute, Indiana.  The 100-watt LPFM station went on the air in 2014.  Right around their one year anniversary, WXXR's signal was allegedly hacked by the activist group Anonymous which broadcast a message for 30 minutes before returning to music.  The FCC and FBI investigated the incident which would be a jailable offense if it was a publicity stunt.  It's unclear why Anonymous would choose a low-power station in the middle of the country to hack into and I was unable to find the results of the FCC's investigation.
