KHJ
Los Angeles, California's 930 AM KHJ is best remembered as a "Boss Radio" station with legendary DJs such as The Real Don Steele and Robert W Morgan. However, KHJ had already been on the air for over 40 years prior to the switch to Top-40 which took place in 1965. From 1986 until 1990 the 930 AM frequency had the call letters KRTH and from '90 until 2000 they were KKHJ. The station petitioned the FCC to allow them to go back to the original three letter call sign which was eventually approved. The bottom sticker dates to the late 90s/early 2000s when they carried a Regional Mexican format as "La Ranchera." It's unclear whether the call letters when this sticker was printed were KHJ or KKHJ. As of this posting, KHJ carries Roman Catholic religious programming as part of the Relevant Radio network.
