"Kiss 104.5" KKMX was most likely a Hot AC or CHR station licensed to Tri City, Oregon circa 2006. KKMX is currently home to a jockless, satellite-fed Adult Hits station known as "Sam FM."

KKMS is a Christian Talk station licensed to Richfield, Minnesota.

KKMR

"Merge 93.3" KKMR was a short-lived attempt at the Modern Adult Contemporary format in Dallas, Texas. 93.3 FM began as Adult Alternative "The Zone" KNBR in 1996 before merging into "Merge" three years later. Their "cool rock & smart pop" failed to find an audience and they flipped to Classic Rock "The Bone" KDBN in 2002. Currently 93.3 FM is CHR "i93" KLIF. KKMR was licensed to Haltom City, Texas.

KKMO

KMO began broadcasting at 1360 AM from Tacoma, Washington in 1922. Sometime in the 1980s (when I believe they carried a Country format) they added a second K to their call letters.


More recently KKMO became a Regional Mexican station known as "Radio Sol." They remain a Spanish language station today but are now known as "El Rey 1360 AM."

KKLZ

KKLZ was a Classic Rock station in Las Vegas, Nevada from 1986 until 2007.

The lettering on this 1992 decal has a silver/mirrored look which didn't translate well when scanned.

In May, 2007 KKLZ tweaked their format to Classic Hits.

Soon after, two former employees began a tribute site to KKLZ's days as a classic rocker along with a live365.com webstream. Tracks from Steely Dan, Neal Schon & Beth Hart, Robin Trower and Alice Cooper were played while making this post.

KKLH is a Classic Rock station licensed to Marshfield, Missouri.

At some point KKLH stopped using the call letters in their branding and became known as "104.7 The Cave." Presumably this is because Missouri is home to over 6,000 caves, many of them in the KKLH listening area including this beauty.
