KVFM

It's rare that I don't get at least one hit on Google when looking for info on stations for this blog but that's the case with KVFM in Walnut Grove, Washington.  My records show that they sent me this magnet in 2009 along with a sticker and magnet from sister-station KBFD in nearby Sunset Beach, Oregon.  KVFM may have been a legal yet unlicensed low-power Part 15 broadcaster and appears to have been programmed in the style of late 1960s-era Freeform Rock stations as KMPX, KSAN and KMET.  If you have any info about the defunct KVFM, leave a comment.

According to the Wayback Machine, they searched a couple neighborhoods between St. John's Road and Andersen Road, between Minnehaha/63rd Street (the "BPA power lines") and likely Padden Parkway/78th Street in the Walnut Grove neighborhood of Vancouver, Washington (north of Portland).

They mention they are "a tribute to the early FM Album Rock stations like KINK Portland, KWFM Tucson, WEBN Cincinnati, and KDKB Phoenix and many others around the country."

Apparently they once broadcast on Live365, but at present, that is no longer the case. They were, indeed, sponsored by a head shop, which (from what I can tell) is no longer in business.

Thanks for the research! I just took a dive into the Wayback Machine myself. This will come in very handy for old URLs. Appreciate you letting me know about it.
