Meghan Markle / KLSX

I came across this dumb, 1999 video of Prince Harry's future wife, Meghan Markle, spotting a Tom Leykis sticker on the back of a truck.  Watch it here.

The decal she spotted was from Los Angeles's 97.1 FM KLSX which carried a Hot Talk format from 1997 until 2009.  They were the flagship station of The Tom Leykis Show.
It took me a minute to figure out why I had two of the same sticker before I noticed a very small difference between these two decals.

KISM

92.9 KISM is a Classic Rock station licensed to Bellingham, Washington.

A reader asked if I could post some more of the Japanese radio stickers that I received back in 2013.  Here ya go!

78.9 FM Radio Bari Bari broadcasts from Imabari, Ihime Prefecture, Japan.  The station name probably comes from the city where they are located but Google says that "bari bari" can also mean "when one is full of energy" and is also an onomatopoeic word for the sound of crunching or ripping.

Kiss FM broadcasts from Kobe, Japan and is simulcast on other frequencies throughout Hyogo Prefecture.

83.5 FM originates from Takarazuka, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.  For some reason, this sticker depicts Princess Sapphire, the lead character from the manga series Princess Knight which first appeared in print in 1953.

FM Port 79.0 broadcasts from the Sea of Japan port town of Niigata.

CKKQ

Known simply as "The Q", Victoria, British Columbia's CKKQ has been a Rock station since 1987.

WZLX

Boston, Massachusett's 100.7 FM WZLX has carried a Classic Rock format since 1985.

WXTF

97.9 FM WXTF is a volunteer-run, 100-watt Variety station that has been accused of being "a little too eclectic" for some people.  As of this writing, their homepage actually has a link to this very website which automatically makes them my favorite station of all time.  Thanks WTF! 
WXTF went on the air in May, 2014 and are licensed to Harrisville, Michigan.

Backtrax USA / KMAJ

A t-shirt from the two-hour, syndicated weekend show Backtrax USA.  The Kid Kelly-created and hosted program has been on the air since 1992 and plays hit music from the 1980s.  Since 2003, there has also been 1990s version of the show available as well.

"Majic 107.7" KMAJ is an Adult Contemporary station in Topeka, Kansas that currently carries Backtrax USA.

 "Shine 105.9" CJRY - Edmonton, Alberta

 "Shine 88.9" CJSI - Calgary, Alberta

"Shine 90.5" CKRD - Red Deer, Alberta

WWIP

Stickers and a magnet from 89.1 FM WWIP licensed to Cheriton, Virginia.  They carry a Religious Teaching/Contemporary Christian format.

Pirate Radio 87.9

Pirate Radio 87.9 FM may or may not originate from Newport, Rhode Island.  They can definitely be heard on shortwave and streaming on Mixlr but it's unclear if they actually ever broadcast at 87.9 FM.  They were playing indie rock from Shellac, U.S. Maple and June of 44 while I wrote this post.  Anyone know anything else about this station?

WMYX

"99.1 The Mix" WMYX is a Hot Adult Contemporary station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

WILI AM & FM

1400 AM WILI is a full-service Adult Contemporary station licensed to WILImantic, Connecticut.  They went on the air in October, 1957.

Sister station WILI-FM "i98.3" has been a Top-40 station since 1986.

NRJ Ukraine

NRJ 104,6 FM broadcasts from Kiev, Ukraine.
