Dial-A-Date was a popular late-night call-in show where the host would pick a contestant and interview them about their life for a few minutes. He would then answer potential date calls, sometimes live on the air, sorting through prank calls before picking three potential dates. The contestant would then pick the winner and they would exchange phone numbers off the air. Dial-A-Date aired in the late 1980s and early 90s.
